Description
Vibrant daffodil flowers bloom along a pathway that winds through the lush, springtime landscape of the Boone County Arboretum in Northern Kentucky. Blossoming pink red bud trees punctuate the tapestry of green foliage. A peaceful pathway mirrors the sky, flanked by birch trees transitioning from winter bareness to the youthful green of spring.
This painting was made by the Inaugural Artist-in-Residence of the Boone County Arboretum, Lindsey Kiser, to commemorate the arboretum’s 25th anniversary in 2024.
In 1999, Lindsey was commissioned by the Boone County Cooperative Extension Service to paint a “future view” of the arboretum near this same location. One hundred prints were produced in honor of arboretum and shared with the public during the ground-breaking ceremony on May 2, 1999.
