Description
In autumn, what is more common than fallen leaves? There is an abundance of them everywhere. Yet, how often do we take time to look at them? I find them incredibly intricate.
John Ruskin famously remarked, “If you can paint one leaf, you can paint the world”.
Lindsey explained, “To create this piece, I built up the background colors and values with black and brown inks on a board coated with white clay, in particular, Claybord by Ampersand. Then, I subtracted values and added details with scratchboard techniques.”
