June Birth Flower: The Rose

June’s birth flower is the rose. True to my Kentucky roots, I selected a wild rose to paint for my series of birth month flowers. Don’t they smell incredible?

Roses are associated with love, passion and beauty. They are known for their beauty, versatility and fragrance. The rose is the national flower of the United States and England.

I have drawn in pen and painted in watercolor the wild rose on cold press watercolor paper. The original painting is 7″ x 5″ and comes with a mat.
