North Woods Nocturne (Ruffed Grouse) is a direct engraving in scratchboard that measures 11″ x 14″, unframed, but comes framed in black and silver. The scene is of backlit aspen at dusk where a ruffed grouse has just flushed from the trees and is headed between the branches. A path is shown in the woods that divides.
