Brief as Spring is an original artwork by Lindsey Kiser completed in scratchboard. On a boating trip up the Kentucky River, Lindsey and her husband, Jeff, encountered a pair of tiger swallowtails visiting paw paw blossoms on the bank of the river. The brief and magical encounter was memorialized not in a poem, but in this direct engraving in scratchboard.
