Description
Great Expectations No. 2 is a 20″ x 20″ original acrylic painting by Lindsey Kiser that was exhibited in the Janice Mason Art Museum. The sides of the canvas that stretch over the stretcher bars were painted so that this painting does not need to be framed to look fantastic on your wall.
Have you ever thought about all of the benefits and products that oak trees provide us? OH-MY-GOSH! So many! It’s crazy to think about how each of those giant, sturdy hardwood trees starts with a single acorn.
Of course, oak trees produce thousands of acorns, such as the mossycup oak acorn featured in the Great Expectations paintings, because so few of them ever make it to reproduce acorns of their own. After all, acorns are a staple in the diet of squirrels, deer, and so many more.
I have painted many leaves and oak trees in my day, but I had never given the acorn the royal treatment. I felt it was high time. Plus, the mossycup oak acorn is about as cool as they come.
Art and nature, whether taken individually or in combination, have brought about healing for so many. I hope you decide to have an abundance of both art and nature in your life!
